Three services.
One area of law.
Each service addresses a distinct and practical need. They are designed to be taken individually or in sequence, and each has a fixed, stated fee so that you know what is involved before you begin.
← Return to HomeHow we approach each matter
Every engagement begins with a reading. Before any commentary is prepared, before any letter is drafted, and before any correspondence is initiated on a client's behalf, we read the available documentation in its entirety.
This practice is not remarkable; it is simply the basic requirement of doing the work competently. We mention it because the commercial pressures of legal billing can sometimes produce commentary that addresses the question asked without addressing the document fully.
Our engagements are scoped clearly at the outset, and any matter that develops beyond the original scope is discussed with the client before additional work is undertaken.
Pension Scheme Document Analysis
For clients who wish to understand what their scheme's documentation actually says — before taking any step. The analysis covers the trust deed and rules where available, handbooks and information booklets, and relevant correspondence with the administering body. A written commentary is prepared identifying the provisions most relevant to the client's situation.
Ten to fifteen working days from receipt of documents, depending on volume.
Representation in Informal Pension Disputes
For situations that have not reached a formal forum but are nonetheless in dispute — a difference of view with an employer, an unresolved query with an administrator, or a question of documentation that has stalled in correspondence. The work begins with a calm conversation about the client's preferred outcome and proceeds by written correspondence conducted in a temperate tone.
Dependent on the response times of the opposing party; typically four to eight weeks.
Pension-Related Letters of Instruction
Preparation of clear written letters of instruction for family members, financial institutions, or pension administrators — often produced as part of a broader later-life plan. Each letter is drafted with care for the language most likely to be understood by its intended reader, and is reviewed with the client before it is finalised.
Draft letters typically delivered within seven working days. Review and finalisation as the client requires.

Each service addresses a different situation. This comparison may help identify where your matter currently stands.
